THE FUTURE OF FASHION
The first edition of this series is a one-day conference on the future of fashion and a three-day exhibition bringing together forward-thinking leaders and advocates of sustainable fashion to discuss smart, ethical and cutting edge alternatives with Peta, Fashion Revolution USA, The California Market Center and experts in the industry in Los Angeles, California.
Our first event is hosted by LA TEXTILE, the fashion industry’s premier West Coast destination for textile, design and production resources from around the globe. We want to ignite conversations and debates within the industry by educating, elevating and drawing connections between our most important values; our respect for human life, animal rights and the environment.
Conference Schedule LA Textile | October 3, 2018
11 am | Social Justice & Animal Rights: an essential synergy for the future of fashion
Hosted by Emmanuelle Rienda, curator and founder of The Future of Fashion conference series. A powerful opening to discuss speciesism as well as the application of fundamental rights for humans and non-humans. This is the most inclusive and diverse conference in the industry raising the voices of activism and inspire the industry with ethical wisdom. In this debate we address the elephant in the room: the broken system and the ethical & environmental weight we carry on our shoulders as consumers and as companies. What are the next steps towards a respectful future?
